I Hear The Sound Of Abundance

I think you will agree with me when I say: We live in perilous times!

here are a couple of examples of what I mean:

Only this week, a 29-year-old man drove a rental truck into a pedestrian and bike path along the Hudson River in Lower Manhattan in New York City. He killed eight people and injured 11 in the deadliest terror attack on the city since 9/11.

Secondly, according to an influential group of central bankers, a new financial crisis is brewing in the emerging economies and it could hit “with a vengeance”.

In the midst of the upheaval engulfing the nations of the world, I hear in my Spirit, the sound of abundance. God is preparing to release an overflow of provision for the work required to be done in the run-up to the return of theLord Jesus. “And Elijah said unto Ahab, ‘Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.'”- 1 Kings 18:41 (KJV)

Paul put it this way: “And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19, NIV).

But why would God provide for you?

Well, He will, because He cares for you! Come to think of it, if He looks after the flowers, why will He not take care of you, knowing that you are much more valuable than the flowers? Let’s take a moment to consider the flowers of the field as Jesus urges us to do in Matthew 6:28–30. God takes care of them and clothes them in beautiful colours. They don’t spin thread to make clothing, yet as Jesus said, not even King Solomon in all his glory was ever dressed like one of them. If God cares for the flowers of the field which appear today and are shortly destroyed, why will He not care for you, who are made in His image and have been redeemed by Him? He will do much more for you!

Activating The Provision

However, for many of us, we need to activate God’s abundant provision in our lives. We need to learn to give! Apostle Paul was able to tell the Church in Philippi that God will meet all their needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19) because of their generosity recorded in Philippians 4:18 ~“I have received full payment and even more; I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God” (NIV).

The Lord taught us: “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” ~Luke 6:38 (NIV).

Here’s why: There’s a spiritual law that governs giving:

“While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night
Shall not cease.” – Genesis 8:22 (NKJV)

Let’s Share A Prayer

Thank You Father God for who You are! Thank You dear God for Your abundant provision for all my needs, whether or not there is recession. I receive the grace to be a generous giver. In Jesus’ Name I pray. AMEN.
